Rules for Knitting!

I am eager to add to my blog, but, having been in a bicycle accident on Friday p.m., I'm afraid the old adage about the spirit being willing, but the flesh being weak is quite applicable.  To compromise, however, I decided to share these rules I sent to the members of my knitting group:

Please, Allow me to Introduce Myself...

I am, in the main, an improvisational knitter which sounds much more glorified than the fact that I want to avoid the tedium of planning; I decide what I want to make, generally accessories, knit the suggestion of a swatch & go for it.  In an effort to mitigate this headlong rush to the goal, I have recently become an enthusiastic ripper, (not to worry, my name is K8, not Jack), which I find to be a physical reminder to enjoy the process.  I belong to a knitting group which has awakened my desire to reclaim some of the skills I have let languish, to enjoy the journey of .planning & choosing, & to redefine my expectations of knitting.
